2016
This year, Really Spicy Opera Company celebrates its 10th Anniversary Season with two works:
- A special production of Giuseppe Verdi’s classic tragedy Rigoletto.
- A festival production of the parody Game of Thrones: The Musical at the Minnesota Fringe Festival.
Rigoletto will be performed at the historic Capri Theater in North Minneapolis:
- Friday, 6/3/16 @ 7:30 PM Purchase Tickets
- Sunday, 6/5/16 @ 2 PM Purchase Tickets
The Capri Theater, the last live theater operating in North Minneapolis, has a long history as a music and theater venue invigorating the West Broadway district. It played host to Prince’s first public solo concert in 1979. Free off-street parking.
Game of Thrones: The Musical will be performed at the Ritz Theater in Northeast Minneapolis as part of the 2016 Minnesota Fringe Festival. The performance dates are:

- 8/8/2016 @ 5:30 PM
- 8/11/2016 @ 7:00 PM
- 8/13/2016 @ 10:00 PM
Tickets will be available June 1st at the Minnesota Fringe Festival website.
In addition, Really Spicy Opera will be featured at the Society for Ethnomusicology’s Annual Meeting in Washington, DC in November.
