Victoria Erickson (mezzo-soprano) is a recent graduate of Concordia College. Currently based in the Twin Cities area, she joins Really Spicy Opera in its 2015 Minnesota Fringe Festival production of The Clever Artifice of Harriet and Margaret. Prior to this, she most recently appeared in the Skylark Opera production of La Rondine. Last season, Ms. Erickson covered the role of Meg Page in Fargo-Moorhead Opera’s production of The Merry Wives of Windsor and portrayed The Duchess of Krackenthorp in La fille du régiment.
Ms. Erickson has appeared on both the operatic and music theater stages. Between opera scenes at Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) and through her Italian Summer School and Vocal Seminar abroad, she has performed in scenes from Cosi fan tutte, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, La Cenerentola, Eugene Onegin, and The Pirates of Penzance. In the summer of 2014, she performed with College Light Opera Company in Falmouth, MA, putting on nine shows in eleven weeks. She was featured in the roles of Hedy LaRue in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Rapunzel in Into the Woods. She will pursue graduate studies in the fall of 2016.
