Banchinda Laothai

Collaborative pianist Banchinda Laothai actively collaborates with musicians, singers and instrumentalists throughout the Twin Cities. She has performed in Schubert Club Courtroom Concerts, played for the University of Minnesota’s Bravo String Summer School, and served as a pianist at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Awards Competition in Florida. Banchinda holds a Graduate Degree from Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland, Ohio and currently is doctoral candidate studying collaborative piano and coaching with Timothy Lovelace at the University of Minnesota’s School of Music. She is also an alumnus of the Music Academy of the West, the Kent/Blossom Music Festival, and Malibu’s Songfest.

In 2015, Banchinda was appointed to a full-time teaching position at Rangsit University’s Conservatory of Music in her hometown of Bangkok, Thailand. She joined Really Spicy Opera in 2015 for its production of The Clever Artifice of Harriet and Margaret.
